Our trip to London started with the sunny view of the Tower of London and the Tower Bridge. We entered the Underground and navigated towards Piccadilly Circus. We explored China Town, Leicester Square and Soho, then made our way to Westminster Abbey and met under Churchill’s gaze. The sun was burning down and forced us to cut short our walk along the Thames and take the Underground back to the bus. We fought our way through the London traffic and were glad to put our feet up after a long day of walking, sightseeing, and shopping.
On Thursday, Brighton awaited with weather more commonly associated with Britain. So we escaped into the Royal Pavilion and enjoyed and marvelled at all its splendour and abundance. We took to the streets and explored the art galleries and vintage clothes shops in North Laine, the multi-coloured food options and took refuge from the pouring rain in the mall and on the Brighton Pier.
Today we set out for Europe again. A week went by too quickly.
